5 Over-the-Top Celebrity Homes in Atlanta

Atlanta is a movie mecca; a booming multi-million film industry where the top-grossing movies of 2017 were filmed. Not to mention, home to music legends including Scarlett O’Hara and hip-hop-and-R&B legends like Ludacris, Usher, and Outkast. And of course, some of the top-paid athletes have also settled roots here in ATL. Here is a peak into some of the most over-the-top celebrity homes:

The first stop on our list is this six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion in DeKalb County. This house was home to NFL star Terrell Owens, Jamie Foxx, and R. Kelly. The amenities here go far beyond routine features- including not one, but two onsite recording studios.

Or catch the latest movie in, yes, two theaters. How about a little one-on-one game on the NBA regulation-size basketball court?

Next up is Akon’s Icy White Alpharetta mansion- with six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and a staggeringly large nine-car garage, the sprawling abode is clearly designed for those who live large.

Eccentric Atlanta recording artist Young Thug — aka Jeffery Lamar Williams — has apparently taken up residence in a 16,800-square-foot mansion near Lenox Square with an interior party zone like no other.

Billed as a "European masterpiece" on "Buckhead’s most prestigious street," the home has nine bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and 33,000 square feet.

The home also has a ballroom, several dining areas, wine cellars, a cigar room, screening room, two gyms, a 20-person steam room, tanning and hair salons, a massage room, game rooms, and the resort-style swimming pool is the centerpiece of a private central courtyard.

It's the former home of Lee Najjar — AKA "Big Poppa," who dated Kim Zolciak in the early days of "Real Housewives of Atlanta"

Then there is this unconscionably extravagant, 35,000-square-foot French Provincial palace cost $25 million.

Tyler Perry's grand Buckhead pad on the banks of the Chattahoochee — touted by the listing agent as "perhaps the most compelling private residence to ever be offered to market in the history of Atlanta"
