5 Things to Do In Atlanta This Weekend

We’ve taken care of your weekend plans, all you have to do is show up!

5 Things to do in Atlanta this weekend(1)

Friday July 15
Giant Panda Twins’ 3rd Birthday Celebration

If this isn’t the cutest event you’ve ever heard of, we don’t know what is! Take your afternoon to the zoo and celebrate our favorite furry twins, Mei Lun and Mei Huan’s, birthday! This is going to be the best (and maybe only) panda birthday party you’ve ever been to with a chance to meet the twins, sign their birthday card, meet Zhu Zhu the mascot, and sing as the twins eat their very own birthday cake!
Friday Jazz Swing Night
When/Where: 6-10pm, The High Museum of Art, 1280 Peachtree St Ne, Atlanta, GA 30309
Price: Free with half price general admission ticket
If Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly with Me” makes your heart sing, you don’t want to miss this night of art, food, and music. Rumor has it Joe Gransden will be performing, but if you can’t make it this week, this event will be back the third Friday of each month!

Saturday July 16
Barre3 Class
When/Where: 8:15-9:15am, Town Brookhaven, 705 Town Blvd, Brookhaven, GA 30319
Price: Free!
You may have to set your alarm for this one, but start your morning off right with this free outdoor barre class, brought to you by Barre3 and Big Peach Running Company. Even though it’s early enough to avoid the best of Hotlanta’s heat, be sure to bring a towel and some H20. We can’t say you won’t look silly as a rookie, but (A) it’s free (B) it’s a fabulous workout and (C) you’ll regret sleeping in till noon anyways.
I Love the 90’s Show
When/Where: 7:30 pm, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, 2200 Encore Parkway, Alpharetta, GA, 30004
Price: Tickets start at $3
Remember Furby, Beanie Babies, and Cory & Topanga? I hope so. Because tonight you’re going to party like it’s 1999 with Salt N Pepa, Coolio, and Biz Markie. Feel free to wear denim head to toe, bring out the chokers, scrunchies, and jelly sandals, and cancel your plans because you do not want to miss this throwback!

Sunday July 17
Brunch with the Braves
When/Where: 11:30am-1:30pm, Turner Field, 755 Hank Aaron Dr Se, Atlanta, GA 30315
Price: $53
Savor your last few opportunities to go to the Ted and enjoy a morning of the new and improved Braves buffet menu, Mimosa’s, live music, and a Club Pavilion level ticket. If the game doesn’t make you want to fall asleep already, this brunch with Tater Tot Chop Waffles sure will.
