Atlanta Hot Spots From Netflix's Hit 'Queer Eye'

fabfive If you need to laugh, cry, or some encouragement, you need to watch Netflix’s Queer Eye- More Than a Makeover. Unlike the original Queer Eye, this reboot takes place in Atlanta, with a new Fab Five cast and deeper dive into the lives of the people they makeover. This show will not only give you all the feels but it shows off our great city of Atlanta.

Atlanta, where the Fab Five's headquarters is stationed, is already dominating the film and TV business. Our city has been having a major on-screen moment in recent years, being the filming location for popular television and movie franchises like The Hunger Games, Stranger Things, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Donald Glover's Emmy Award-winning series Atlanta. Not to mention that Atlanta is also home to the cast members featured on dozens of popular reality shows like The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Married to Medicine, and Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta. Queer Eye is now adding to the fact that Hollywood isn't the only acceptable backdrop for television and film.

If you’re like me, and obsessed with the show, you now want to visit every place the cast has visited. Although, I can’t find a full list of everywhere the cast has been, here are some of the restaurants and stores I do remember the Fab Five venturing to. And you better believe I will be making my way to all of these places, maybe even asking employees if they had the honor of meeting someone from the Fab Five.

Restaurants:

Sotto Sotto
Sotto Sotto has been an Atlanta dining destination for over 15 years. Dishes here are firmly rooted in centuries of Italian tradition. A little fancier, but a great place for date night!

Chai Pani
Indian street snacks, platters, lassis & draft beers in a casual, colorful space with a hip vibe. Chai Pani literally means “tea and water.” It’s slang in India for going out for a cup of tea, a tasty bite, a snack, or “a little something.” This place is definitely at the top of my list to visit.

Bacchanalia
Bacchanalia has well-earned its reputation as Atlanta's most-celebrated restaurant since opening in 1993, and consistently gains ratings as one of Atlanta's top restaurants. But it is not cheap to eat at Atlanta’s most-celebrated restaurant. Bacchanalia offers a four course, prix fixe menu at $95 per person.

Cooks and Soldiers
Cooks & Soldiers draws its inspiration from the people and the cuisine of the Basque Country in Spain and France. Pintxos are the Basque answer to tapas.. Pintxo Bars represent the casual, convivial aspect of Basque dining.

Alon’s Market
Alon’s Bakery & Market is an award-winning restaurant, providing high-quality artisan baked goods and cuisine since 1992. Alon’s Bakery & Market is known for its high-quality, made-from-scratch selection of baked breads, European-style cakes, handmade pastries, gourmet sandwiches, freshly prepared foods, fine cheeses, exquisite chocolates and more.

ASW Distillery
Though ASW has tried other spirits, they find themselves returning time and again to whiskey and brandy. They say the chosen path as whiskey and brandy purists has not been easy. But they have remained committed to providing folks with a delicious, smooth-sipping alternative to vodka. Get a tour and tasting at their location- 199 Armour Drive Northeast, Atlanta, GA.

Stores:

Bonobos
A Tan France favorite, Bonobos lives by “style is opinion, fit is fact. Find yours at one of our Guideshop locations. One-on-one service. Complimentary style advice. Plus the perfect fit, delivered right to your door.” Head down to Bonobos at The Shops of Buckhead, and get yourself a printed shirt.

Clothing Warehouse
The Clothing Warehouse shares some of the most unusual and original finds with the rest of Atlanta. Unlike most vintage clothing stores where clothing is stuffed in bins and cluttered on racks, TCW’s innovative approach and creative display of the clothing made this store a pioneer in the industry.

Banana Republic
Tan France took one of our favorite firefighters to Banana Republic to majorly step up his style. Banana Republic is an American clothing and accessories retailer owned by American multinational corporation, Gap Inc.

There are definitely more places the fab five have visited in our FABulous city, but these are just some of the places on the top of my list to visit. Don’t miss out on all of the great homes for sale in our city. Go check them out! Start your search at Clickscape.
