The edible cookie dough craze has found success around the country, including Cookie Dō in New York City, where the line to the very popular cookie dough shop starts before 10 a.m. Atlanta is now one of the lucky cities being graced with edible cookie dough.
The dessert shop is located on the first floor of the Central Food Hall in Ponce City Market.
“As a little girl, I was always the kid waiting to lick the bowl when my mom made a fresh batch of cookie dough, but mom wouldn’t let me. That craving never changed, as I always wanted that fantastic, creamy, crunchy batter” – Julie Abes
Unlike dough that’s baked to become actual cookies, Abes’s product is eggless and made with heat-treated flour. Batter’s dough is available by the scoop for in-store consumption or by the pint to take home.
Flavors at Batter include sugar, chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, lemon, salted caramel, and s’mores, as well as some seasonal selections. The shop also offers baked cookies that have evolved from their dough form, cold-brew coffee, and milk in the plain and chocolate varieties.
