Over-The-Top Property of the Week: Beltline Shipping Container Home

Posted on 19, May 2016 by Ryann Hogan

This week's Over The Top property is a well-known Beltline staple. Built in 2010 and made from shipping container material, this home went on the market in mid-May and is sure to be snatched up by a buyer looking for what is possibly the most unique home in Old Fourth Ward.

Spanning just two short blocks from Edgewood Avenue, Old Fourth Ward is home to this unconventional shipping container home. After years of media attention, one of the homes has come back on the market, for a cool $549,000. This spacious, three-bedroom townhome includes everything from a breath-taking skyline view to a drive-under garage. Made from “high-cube” shipping containers from a rail yard just minutes down the street, this town home’s unique and modern style is sure to raise some questions, as well as raise some eyebrows.
