Top 10 Fourth of July Festivities Around Atlanta

Light up your holiday weekend! Celebrate America's birthday this weekend Atlanta style with firework shows, parades, festivals, and much more. Below is your guide to some of the best local events, many family-friendly and free of charge. May these ideas lead you to a holiday weekend filled with fireworks, family, and fun. Happy 4th!

Centennial Olympic Park
Centennial Olympic Park's Fourth of July celebration promises fun for the entire family with live music and one of the city's best firework shows. The festivities begin at 6:00 PM with the fireworks starting at 9:45 PM.

AJC's Peachtree Road Race
Kick off your holiday with some exercise with a side of scenery at the Peachtree Road Race. Organized by the Atlanta Track Club, the Peachtree Road Race is the largest 10K in the world. The race takes a scenic route through the city from Buckhead to Piedmont Park.

Georgia Aquarium's Red, White, & View
For another amazing view of the Centennial Olympic Park fireworks, celebrate your holiday with the Georgia Aquarium. The close-up parking deck view is prime location to take in the show while enjoying music, games, crafts, and snacks. The event is from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM with fireworks starting at approximately 9:40 PM. Tickets are $15 for kids and $20 for adults.

Georgia Aquarium's Red, White, & Brew
The Georgia Aquarium's Fourth of July Beer Festival will feature unlimited beer samplings, food, live music, and fireworks. Held in the Oceans Ballroom, brews can be enjoyed alongside beluga whales, manta rays, and whale sharks. Afterwards, guests can head upstairs to partake in the Red, White, and View event and Centennial fireworks. The event is from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM with fireworks starting at approximately 9:40 PM.

Lenox Square Fireworks
The 56th Annual "Legendary 4th of July" Lenox Sqaure celebration will feature live music, food, and fireworks. Music entertainment starts at 6:00 PM with the fireworks set to begin at 9:40 PM.

Whiskey Blue Atlanta's Fourth of July Extravaganza
Enjoy a rooftop view of Lenox Square's fireworks with a side of signature cocktails atop Whiskey Blue at the W Hotel. Doors open at 5:00 PM and fireworks are set to begin at 9:00 PM. Tickets are $30 with the option for VIP table reservations.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies Celebrate your holiday with the Atlanta Braves as they take on the Phillies followed by a patriotic firework celebration. The July 4th game starts at 7:15 PM followed by the firework show.

Sandy Springs Fourth of July Parade
Dunwoody is the home to the metro area's largest Fourth of July parade. Featuring marching bands, floats, and post parade family activities, the Independence Day celebrations begin Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Lake Lanier Independence Day Celebration
Lake Lanier's Independence Day Celebration Lake Lanier offers a relaxing spin on your typical Fourth of July celebration. Dip your toes in the water and soak up some sun lakeside this holiday weekend. There will be patriotic food and drink specials all weekend long, and live entertainment and fireworks July 3-5th!

Stone Mountain Park's Fantastic Fourth Celebration
Voted the “Best Place to see Fireworks in Atlanta” by Atlanta Journal-Constitution readers, Stone Mountain doesn't take Fourth of July celebrations lightly. Enjoy a spectacular laser show followed by fireworks July 2-5th. Admission to the show is free with the exception of parking.
